About LaForge

LaForge is a software studio. It is small on purpose.

Most software fails slowly. It ships, it works, and then it accumulates — a workaround here, an urgent patch there — until the thing nobody wants to touch is also the thing everything depends on. That outcome is not caused by bad engineers. It is caused by decisions made quickly, in the dark, under a deadline, by people who never got to see the second-order cost.

LaForge exists to make those decisions in the light.

What we build#

Tools for engineering teams, and the systems underneath them. Static publishing infrastructure, developer tooling, and applied AI work where the model earns its place rather than being the point.

How we work#

Deliberately. Scope gets smaller before it gets bigger. Anything that cannot be explained on one page is not understood well enough to build yet.

Who is behind it#

LaForge is founded and run by Pete Corcoran, and is a property of COR Holdings — a studio for technology, publishing, and creative work based in Birmingham, Alabama.
